5 Boroughs — 5 Broadways
In September 2024, around Climate Week NYC, we gathered hundreds of volunteers to help clean up Broadways across the city - from the “world’s most famous street” in Manhattan to vibrant bustling Broadways in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens or Staten Island.
With over 225 volunteers during 7 cleanups, we collected 970 pounds of trash - ultimately having a positive impact on the lives of 45,100 New Yorkers
Some highlights included:
* On Saturday 9/21 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the neighborhood came came out to Sweep It Up with Grammy Award winner singer-songwriter and actress Coco Jones. (Check out this music video and you’ll see why we’re such big fans!)
* On Tuesday 9/24, we were joined by TV producer and personality Andy Cohen who led our cleanup in Union Square.
