Zero Waste Workshop: Normalize Secondhand

  • Laurelton Farmers Market 141st Road Queens, NY, 11413 United States (map)

To destigmatize and normalize secondhand shopping, we are curating space & hosting our July/August workshop at the Laurelton Farmers Market

About this event

Zero Waste NYC Workshop, the Sanitation Foundation, Laurelton Farmers Market, and House of Good Deeds are coming together to host our "Normalize Secondhand" Summer Workshop!

Our goal is to encourage, destigmatize and normalize secondhand shopping. We will provide networking opportunities, will be hosting a panel on the topic of secondhand, as well as a pop-up Good Deeds Givewaway so attendees can shop secondhand right at the market. We also encourage you to purchase your produce for the week while you're there!

COVID-19 Guidelines: This event is in person and will be held outdoors. Unvaccinated individuals who attend the workshop will still be responsible for maintaining proper social distancing of six feet and wearing a mask as per federal CDC guidance.

*30% of proceeds from tickets sold for ALL of our workshops are donated to the Sanitation Foundation.
